The role of the Retro-Fit and Service Supervisor is to oversee the daily workings and activities of the Retro-Fit and Service Technicians. As a front-line worker, you present a positive and professional image of the organization, and provide best-in-class service to all customers, visitors, and suppliers, regarding inquiries and other interactions. A documenting process is critical to ensure proper paperwork and work orders are submitted in a timely matter. Through strong communication and team skills, the Retro-Fit and Service Supervisor provides regular communication with technicians for dispatching, and with the department manager for issues
and concerns.

The Retro-Fit and Service Supervisor is a role model and leader who solves problems, and makes informed decisions to achieve maximum results. You are expected to meet and exceed department growth objectives by pursuing walk-in and telephone customer opportunities, and develop a network of contacts through which prospective customers are obtained, thus leading to future sales.

The successful candidate for the role of Retro-Fit and Service Supervisor will demonstrate:

  • An enthusiastic commitment to our organization’s core values and progressive culture
  • Completion of college vocational or technical training (preferred)
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with dispatch experience, and plumbing knowledge an asset
  • Experience working in a supervisor capacity with the ability to train employees
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Strong commitment to meet and complete tasks according to timelines/deadlines
  • Solid problem identification, negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Computer literacy, including good working knowledge of MS Office software
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a high-stress environment
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent customer service skills visible through a polite, positive, and people-friendly personality
  • Flexibility to adjust core working hours as required
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
